Question: Some of the answers to the simulated faults don't seem to be accurate... am I missing something?
Answer: All of the faults have been extensively tested and the answers are correct. This application is designed to encourage an electrician to step outside the ordinary troubleshooting instincts of merely using voltage probes to troubleshoot electrical circuit problems. Utilizing the Amp Probe and Pressure Transducer while applying Ohms Law to all problems will verify every solution given.

Question: As a first time user and a novice in electrical troubleshooting, where do I start?
Answer: When you first open the application, do not invoke any faults. Simply press the In, Out and Stop pushbutton to engage the Hydraulic Shifter. Then use the voltage probes, amp probe and pressure transducer on the interactive electrical and hydraulic schematics to gain further understanding in electrical relay logic and hydraulic principles.

Question: Does the application demonstrate basic multimeter functions and how to properly use a multimeter?
Answer: No, the software was originally designed as a job skills test for advanced industrial electricians. However, with assistance from a classroom professor or qualified electrician, the software can become a valuable teaching and training tool as well.
