| If you're a businessman/woman, you couldn't have a
better software companion than Thunder Address - and in
this description, I'll demonstrate merely some of its
internet capabilities to help prove my point:
Included with the software is a database of U.S.
Airports. When you open the databook (as we call them)
of these airports, you'll note that we've created the
fields you'll likely need when using such a database. Of
course, you can change the field names to whatever you
want - but we thought that these would give you a good
start.
In the U.S. Airports databook, we've pre-populated
all 52 records with 5 fields we thought you'd definitely
need. And those 5 are:
1. Airport Name
2. Airport Code
3. Airport Website
4. Airport City, State Zip
5. Airport Phone (General Info)
The image below shows a screenshot of the U.S.
Airports databook with some notes we've added to help
explain the power of the internet features contained in
Thunder Address.
Below the image, we'll talk about some of these
features that helps set Thunder Address apart from all
other Contact Management Programs.
In the case above, we've opened the Salt Lake City
International Airport record. As you can see, the 5
fields we've mentioned above have been filled in - the
rest should be filled in by the end user, with fields
renamed as desired.
The features - OK, let's start with the Website
field. Placing the focus (clicking) in the Website text
area and pressing the shortcut CTRL + W allows instant
navigation (with your default web browser) to the
airport's official website. From there, you can find out
any information you may need regarding flights, local
hotels, places of interest, etc.
Next we have the Airport Code Field - Using these 3
letter codes on Mapquest, Google Maps or Yahoo Maps
enables instant mapping of that airport. What we've done
is eliminated the steps one ordinarily would have to go
through to get that map displayed. By simply pressing
CTRL + F1, Thunder Address automatically delivers you to
Mapquest at which point Mapquest displays the airport
location. Under our menu "Options" is a
function that allows you to copy to memory your home
address. Now all you have to do is paste that address in
the required field on Mapquest to get driving directions
to the airport. You can do the same for both Google and
Yahoo as well.
Finally, let's talk about the Phone Field. Placing
the focus in this text area and pressing F11
automatically dials the airport's number using your
phone modem (providing of course, you have one).
So as you can see, with Thunder Address traveling can
be a lot less burdensome.
You can download
Thunder Address here and purchase it for just $29.00 here.
